Course Outline

Spanish HL and Spanish SL is essentially the same course, but a higher level of competency and range of vocabulary is expected at the higher level. The HL course also requires students to study 2 literary works originally written in Spanish.  Students must, therefore, demonstrate greater fluency and abilities to analyze moderately complex written and spoken material.

The assessment pieces and weights are the same for both HL and SL. However, the individual oral assessment at the HL level is based on one of the literary works studied.
