The Mass Casualty Commission’s Recommendation C.17 calls for province-wide implementation of curriculum addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and bystander intervention (BI) education. This will ensure that every student in grades primary to 12 will learn how to recognize, prevent, and respond to GBV and other harms. The updated outcomes have been added to the new at-a-glance documents found to the right. Course Outline The French Immersion classes for grades 10, 11 and 12 are designed to meet the needs of the students in the other subjects taught in French. They are created in such a way that they allow the students to perfect their communication, reflection and problem-solving skills and gain a better understanding of their own culture and others as well, most notably in francophone communities. Students are actively engaged in various activities and projects pertaining to their interests, their needs, their experiences and their abilities. They must ask for and provide details, express their thoughts and opinions, read various texts, entertain and be creative.
