Students in Mathematics 2 explore the following topics: 

• number names to 200
• understanding of numbers to 100
• place value (tens and ones)
• addition and subtraction 
• story problems.
• repeating and increasing (growing) patterns
• equality and inequality
• length and mass
• calendars and time (days, weeks, and months)
• 3-D objects and 2-D shapes
• data collection, organisation and display (graphs and pictographs)
